Bride in wedding dress hooks something HUGE after saying ‘I do’—this is wild!

Weddings are often full of surprises, but one newlywed’s big day took an unexpected turn when a special catch nearly stole the spotlight.

What began as a serene photo session quickly turned into a memorable adventure that will have everyone talking for years to come.

Here’s how a fishing trip unexpectedly made its way into a wedding celebration.

A newlywed in Darwin has shared the unexpected joy of reeling in a shark on her wedding day—one that nearly stole the spotlight from her.

After tying the knot on Saturday, Miccala and Brodie Toms decided to head to Dundee Beach for some stunning wedding photos.

As they posed for pictures by the water, they spotted a baby shark on the bank and couldn’t resist capturing the moment.

Nearby, a boy fishing off the beach managed to reel in another shark, sparking an idea for the bride.

‘I thought, ‘that would be great wedding photos,’ because we love fishing,’ Ms Toms shared.

With the boy’s parents giving their permission, the fishing rod was passed to the bride, who was eager to reel in her first-ever shark.

In her long white wedding dress and high heels, the avid fisherwoman got to work while her amused groom and guests looked on.

Nothing was going to stop the bride from reeling in the shark, despite the challenge of the big catch.

As the shark fought back, Ms Toms lost her balance and fell backward, causing her bridesmaids to rush over and help.

Meanwhile, her groom and other guests were laughing in the background.

‘I’ve got it all on video,’ Mr Toms said, capturing the unforgettable moment.

The rod was then handed back to the boy, who was assisted by the groom to reel in the shark, which would later be used as a prop for wedding photos.

Proudly holding the still-squirming shark by the tail, Mr Toms posed for the camera while his bride gave a big thumbs up.

After the photos, it was understood that the shark was released back into the ocean.

It’s safe to say Miccala and Brodie Toms will never forget their wedding day or the unexpected fishy twist it took.

I haven't but just want to say that although the Bridal party got a kick out of these people posing for pictures with the sharks, to me this is just plain cruelty.

As a young man I used to play drums in various groups of the time.
I was booked to play at a wedding for a couple I knew and was set up in a hall ready for the occasion.
The church ceremony went of without a hitch but the bride and groom (apparently) had an intense argument on the way back to the reception at the hall!
The bride went one way in a friend's car and the groom went the other!! Shortest marriage I have ever witnessed!
