It doesn't work when they say they are a charity, they can still call you and rip you off.
My partner and I have been on it for years, he still gets calls but I don't LOL!

I’ve been on the do not call register since its inception but I get numerous calls every day. I don’t think it matters if you are on it anymore
I also have been on it for years , we get at least three a day. I don’t answer, if a message is left I ring back. So sick of it. Now I’m starting to get them on my phone. Oh for the good old days before this was thought of.

When "do not call" was first introduced we still had our landline. After I entered my name on the register the unwanted calls doubled. I will never enter my number again.

I agree - was on it for years and it did very little - we ended up buying a Call Blocker machine which had hundreds of preset numbers in it and you could just push a button on it when a scam call came through but it died. We did away with our home phone because of all the spammer calls. I have a Samsung mobile and it actually tell you when a suspected scam caller comes through - it comes up in big letters at the top and the screen goes red. It also says could be telemarketer so it give me an option to block the number immediately. Some calls still get through this though like charities.

I've been registered on this for years, but I still get calls. If I don't know the number, I don't answer it. If they don't leave a message ( which they dont), I then block the number. I know that they have many different numbers, but I just keep blocking them.
My moto is... if they're a friend or someone that really wants to contact me, they'll leave a message. If they don't, I just block them. Too bad.

Ages ago I registered for this so called service but to date I still get calls from “ unknowns “ so now
I check the number against “ truecaller “ and get the answer . At least one can work on it from there.

Have been on it for years but still get 2-3 per day from "out of area" which I just ignore. Generally from some charity or other. These are generated for random phone numbers. My mobile does not receive them. As I have a silent # on the land line, they can't leave a message.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
