Stir Fry Prawns

Serves : 4
Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Cooking Time : 5 minutes

Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 16 green king prawns - peeled, deveined and tails left on
• 125 gram punnet baby corn - halved lengthwise
• 1 bunch asparagus - trimmed and sliced
• 150 grams snow peas - trimmed and sliced diagonally
• 2 cloves garlic - thinly sliced
• 1 tablespoon soy sauce
• 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
• quarter teaspoon sugar
• baby coriander leaves to serve

Method

Step 1 • In a wok, heat half of the oil, on high. Stir fry prawns for 1 to 2 minutes, until they change colour.*** Remove from pan
Step 2 • Heat remaining oil in the wok. Stir fry corn for 1 minute. Then add asparagus, snow peas and garlic, stir frying for 1 minute until bright in colour and tender crisp.
Step 3 • Return prawns to wok with combined sauces and sugar. Stir fry 1 to 2 minutes. Serve hot and sprinkled with coriander leaves.

***Do not go past this stage of colour, or the prawns will be tough.

I hate asparagus but they are so goid for you and I'm actually going to try and eat them.

I'm on a Gut health thing atm and they are included in the recipes. I just can't do the mushrooms.
Don't like asparagus or oysters so wouldn't like oyster sauce but like mushrooms.
Would oyster sauce be really necessary?

The sulphur containing compounds in asparagus render certain human excretions a very unpalatable odour or taste.

Off my menu and anybody with whom I have been in an intimate relationship with.

Anyway, it tastes horrible....full stop!
To each their own .....don't know about the human excrement 'taste test' though ... :ROFLMAO:

And here I am talking myself into trying to eat them. I think I went back to the end of the line
