Australia Post scam!!!!!!!! with pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .

Well the scammers are really trying to make sure we take notice of their scams. They are sending photos of an Australia Post Van to make it more convincing. I have sent this to scam watch but thought I would make everyone at SDC aware of the lengths they are going to now. Stay safe online

This is the first one that I have got with photos of the Mail van. Usually it's just writing. Obviously just writing isn't getting these scammers enough money, they had to kick it up a notch

The email is not convincing at all. The post office never contact you to check any details or ask you to click on any link. I had a genuine email yesterday to say they couldn’t deliver a parcel, as I was not home. The email was backed up with a card in the letterbox to pick up parcel from post office after 5pm, which I did. End of story.

Random email addresses by the sender are usually a dead giveway, even if the email looks legit.

If you look at "From:" you can tell it's not from Australia Post. sk = Slovakia

There is absolutely nothing about this email that would have me believing it was from Australia Post.

Nothing convincing about this txt message whatsoever. Painfully obvious this is a scam from the opening line. AP does not send txt's like this for starters, the from address is nothing like AP. To confirm all you have to do is go to AP tracking, type in the fake tracking number and there you have it. ONE FAKE MESSAGE.

These scams are now just part of life and they seem to be getting better at convincing people. I also have received the post office scam and all the others before it. Scammers are successful with people who just click everything without thinking or just have a lapse in concentration or just trying to do things quickly all the time. We have all become a little impatient and expect everything quickly and so we tend to rush through things. Freddie sang it many years ago. "I want it all and I want it NOW!" All we can do is be aware and be careful and don't take any chances. Don't rush important stuff because a little bit of time spent investigating could save you a lot. It's a bit of a shame but "Trust No One".

It's obviously a scam. If the post office has a parcel for you, they'd at least know your name and use it; not use 'Dear Customer' or send it to 'Undisclosed Recipients'.

I received that one too but my latest is we have generated a bill because you haven’t paid your tolls
I know it’s a scam because I don’t have the tolls in my name and my husband has auto top up

Australia Post always addresses you by your first and last name. They have a tracking device that is displayed and difficult to imitate or copy.
Fortunately, I live close to my local post office. All my parcels and online orders are directed to "Post Collect" - a free service. Armed with an ID with my picture, I personally and safely collect my parcels from an Australian Post Office Counter. They advise you if your parcel has arrived and for how many days they will hold it for you. I have used this service for 4 years now -100% safe and effective.

Just look at the email address - it is easy to tell it's not legit
