Princess Catherine looked flawless at Trooping the Colour—but there was a quiet battle behind the scenes

As many members know any type of cancer is a long hard road to recovery. Of course the princess will have days when she is not well so like any of the rest of us - use your sick leave. I'm sure even the royals must have some provision for this.

Narre Warren food bank feeding thousands faces closure over council permit decision

What happened to great Australians helping their fellow folk who need a bit of a hand without councils blocking everything possible. This council needs dissolving ASAP.

New Aged Care Shake-Up Keeps Seniors at Home – Lifeline or Letdown?

Exactly - the add on costs to equipment under these schemes is exorbitant and how they can justify something that is 4 times the cost or more is mind blowing. No wonder these schemes are running out of money. I would suggest a royal commission but that would be more money and delay things even...

    Copperart

I used to love browsing through Copperart as they had pretty and stylish things which were also reasonably priced.

    Cabbage White Butterfly

When I was a young child our next door neighbour used to pay us one penny to catch these butterflies so they didn't eat the cabbages in the vegie garden. We weren't very good at it!

NDIS pricing changes 'incredibly cruel' says remote mobile therapy provider

The sad thing with all this wrangling over costs is that the people the NDIS is there to help are often the ones missing out on the care they need. I worked in community health and hospitals for many years and the cost of transport was always a problem. Surely there is someone out there who...

What’s a hobby you’ve picked up lately that makes you feel years younger?

I also love jigsaws and am having fun with 1000 piece ones. Have found quite a few at op shops - some brand new and so far all pieces there in those which have been opened.

What’s a hobby you’ve picked up lately that makes you feel years younger?

I too loved this as a child and used to drive my local newsagent nuts asking if he had any more colouring books (as I quickly coloured the ones I bought each week.) Glad to see colouring books for adults too. it's a very relaxing hobby.

Calls grow louder for the government to stop stalling on home care

My husband has heavy duty rubber ramps to exit our sliding door onto the patio ( and also an egress to the outside in case of fire etc) These were purchased from an equipment company in Brisbane and they were assessed and approved by an OT. I am amazed that this other company have removed...

Aussie mum cashes in with $1,000-a-month side hustle at Woolworths, Bunnings, and Costco

When we lived in the Hunter area I did mystery shopping for about a year. I had a big variety of shops - quite often large hardware stores and bottle shops. I had to ask for assistance in choosing wine and most of the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Probably the worst mystery shop...

    Bi-Lo Supermarkets

Bi Lo at Kurri Kurri in the Hunter Valley was the popular supermarket there and very reasonable prices.

    Library Card

I can certainly remember the library cards and the all the reference cards we had to trawl through to find information for our assignments at school and uni. No quick questions to a search engine then! But I did and still do love a trip to the library as reading has always been my favourite...

Calls grow louder for the government to stop stalling on home care

It is logical as the funds are no longer required by the deceased person.

Calls grow louder for the government to stop stalling on home care

My husband was assessed for a level 3 package and then had to wait for 12 months to actually receive any help. He has received some assistance with equipment, house cleaning and lawn mowing. I do everything else on a 24/7 basis. I worry what will happen when I can no longer look after him...
