Defence pact faces fresh scrutiny as President Trump lands in Australia: 'A serious test'

It was not the review that sent shockwaves through Canberra, it was the re-election of a madman imo. Trump is not all there imo, that is what we should be worried about.

Opposition leader signals Centrelink cuts! Here’s what they don't want you to know

Meanwhile every Politician retires a multimillionaire on a full pension and perks at +50 while working for some corporation they helped along the way, and that is not open to review.

Opposition leader signals Centrelink cuts! Here’s what they don't want you to know

Clearly the LNP are not looking to govern for quite some time imo. This completely overlooks the LNP's previous stance against the Super concession being limited to $3m, when they argued it would affect everyone in their lifetime. Which means, within 30yrs everyone will have over $3m in super...

Then there are the opposite of that, people who live and worked here and have their part pension supplemented by a pension from OS even after naturalisation.

Major energy bill shake-up puts savings front and centre for Australian households

It is a Govt. Dept. that sets pricing, and for some odd reason they always increase, even while providers offer lower rates to win ur custom, they may raise rates 3% then offer 7% off the base rate, so why the rise and all the confusing jargon. My opinion is, however it is generated energy will...

Your final $75 electricity lifeline arrives in October—just as power prices surge up to 10 per cent

Free electricity? Good one, I have free electricity now with solar, but if ur waiting for the Govt. to provide it don't hold ur breath. Your final $75 electricity lifeline arrives in October—just as power prices surge up to 10 per cent

Just think a little more and u may discover a silver lining to this situation. I installed solar, which would not exist if it were not for the mindset u describe and have not had a power bill in over a decade, I know it is not for everyone, but those who can should convert it is the only way to...

Your final $75 electricity lifeline arrives in October—just as power prices surge up to 10 per cent

Sorry I can't help with ur personal living arrangements, but I have gas for those things too, but the price of gas imo is cheap compared to what people are paying for fully electrified, I don't believe the propaganda that electric is cheaper. However, if u use just a little power and can install...

Your final $75 electricity lifeline arrives in October—just as power prices surge up to 10 per cent

Every little bit helps, but don't be fooled regardless of how it is generated energy will never be cheaper than it is today, the only respite some individuals have is solar, period. Energy in Aust is now mostly privatised, and as such the privateers spend nothing on growing supply, just profit...

Veteran healthcare cards promise free medical treatment, but patients say many GPs won't accept them

Because Doctors are greedy, they are a national disgrace imo. They charge what they like, and for the most part work on the honour system as far as claims are concerned with very little oversight, causing some to be caught out abusing the system with unrealistic claims.
