    Gas is being taken from who again, I have gas and no one has told me I will have to change, retailers like Good Guys could not have been told either as their showrooms are crowded with these giant ranges like you see on Master Chef, and God knows what restaurants will do. Put out a National Alert.

    Exactly, I believe families waste energy., don't get me wrong from experience I know it is difficult, but with the kids off our hands and with solar we are always in credit, The unit has paid for itself many times over after 15yrs.

    The more that convert the less likelihood of blackouts, it is essential tho that adequate personal systems are installed, your system may well only be enough for two people.

    Most of such institutions have alternate energy generation. Where are you that you're experiencing blackouts?

    Solar and battery are the nearest you can get to that guarantee, nothing else is.

    They are not totally against the use of gas, in fact it is their go to for baseload during the transition. Most are aware that anything electrical won't work without electricity, but yes they are encouraging it's use, just as a decade or so ago they encouraged gas use. I imagine during a storm...

    I can honestly say imo energy regardless of how it's generated will never be cheaper than it is today, our current system doesn't allow for it. The only way an individual can ease that cost is solar if they can.

    Many things are not considered in cpi, such as housing, only the cost of materials.

    It pays to install appropriate systems capable of enduring the local environment as they do with other structures and insure them. I can't remember the last hail here at home but it had no effect on my panels
