Hubby and I just have nibbles like cheese, fruit, handful of nuts or flat bread with cold meats for lunch, small portions of meat and salad or veg for dinner/the occasional takeaway (1 serving to share since we don't need to eat much). We have the odd luxuries of only one line of a large chocolate bar each day, a glass of wine once a week, occasional Macca's free Senior's coffee when we spend $4 or more :).

I agree with you, food prices are becoming ridiculously high. I’m thinking of becoming a vegetarian because meat, poultry and pork are too highly priced when on a fixed income (Pension).
