Dignity or Dinner? The High Stakes of Australia’s Aged Care Funding Reforms

Can you get onto Aged Care and see if they can expedite your HCP? That's what I tried to do for a neighbour and she is receiving some servicess but this is in the city, so I don't know what would happen in rural towns. Good luck.

Dignity or Dinner? The High Stakes of Australia’s Aged Care Funding Reforms

Agreed, I have respiratory problems and am finding it difficult or impossible to clean the ceiling fan and air conditioner filters. I got help once from my service provider but the cost to my package was high, so I still struggle to do it.

Dignity or Dinner? The High Stakes of Australia’s Aged Care Funding Reforms

I am with a small not for profit aged care provider. I don't pay any co-contributations at this stage but it looks like I will have to. Where do I find the money after paying rent, electricity and phone. As for cleaning I help the workers do the hard stuff, like cleaning the oven, my fridge and...

Big changes are coming for this major bank! Here's what customers need to know

And I suppose this will come to Suncorp as well whom ANZ have taken over. I left ANZ years ago because of their lack of customer service and inability to do things right. Let us oldies do banking the way we know how. If the young ones want this, then target them. When we all die out, they can...

Coles launches time-saving shopping feature as shoppers miss out

Doesn't anyone shop to a list anymore. I know exactly what I need and can afford. What about the staff who help us find items they keep changing positions on the shelves and of course the wonderful check out operators. I want more staff and less technology. Yes I am a technohobe.

Woolworths' latest change leaves loyal customers fuming—what’s next for rewards?

I got rid of my delivery unlimited for $15 month. The number of times I shop in Woolworths now and online is limited. I find my local Coles are a little bit cheaper and as I said previously I pick a delivery slot with a $2 delivery fee. Woolworths is out for the shareholders and profits before...

Microsoft axes important security features for one of its tools

I keep all my passwords written down the old fashioned way. I divert Edge to Google, I got a screenful for information about Edge a couple of days ago. Even Centrelink now wants passkeys for your accounts but I have so far managed to avoid that sofar using 2 factor authentification. I know...

Savvy Aussies are slashing their grocery bills in 2025. Are you missing out on these money-saving secrets?

I agree Ricci, I have a very tight budget and can take things out of my online cart when I have reached my limit. I do go to the store rarely and I find I do spend much more. I have to go to the store to buy litter as they cannot always deliver it:cry:. The delivery fees vary but I choose a slot...
