Like Adelaide, Canberra is a "planned city". Yes it has numerous roundabouts, big deal. I lived there for three years. It isn't an exciting place. And I would never buy a house there. The reason is because you don't own your land, you lease it from the Government.
He deserves it. There is metal in amongst it - take to scrap yard, get money for it. Bottles and glass, paper, cardboard etc, recyclable. Put the rest in the bin.
This country should do what Singapore does. All of their waste is recycled.
And as soon as you withdraw anything from it, the ATO knows. And tax you accordingly. Yep, they have their grubby paws on everything you do with your hard earned money.
We should not be so narrow minded. There are a number of countries that are incinerating their waste to produce energy(WtoE). And the controls measures in place can bring the amount of dioxin released to near zero. Google it.
Germany and Singapore are two leading examples.
