I have friends who deal a lot in cash , and have on occasion walked away from a transaction because of the business refusing to take cash. BWS in some places is notorious for this,they have a sing at the register stating CARD ONLY NO CASH KEPT ON THE PREMISES .

I have experienced a similar situation as I am denied Bariattic surgery due to my age (68),Medicare will not pay 1c towards this issue.

I have had on occasion had to get the attendant at Woolies to clear the security at the self service so that I can pay for my shopping as I had a personal item or something that I'd purchased elsewhere in the trolley. This to me is intrusive.
