Retired but over income limits? You might still be eligible for this benefit saving retirees thousands!

Interesting article! Before I relocated, I used to have coffee with a self-funded retiree, who spoke once of her Health Card from Centrelink. I had no idea what she was referring to, as she wasn’t on the Age Pension. Now I know, and I’ll be trotting into Centrelink once I turn 67.

It takes 10 minutes a day—but it could save you $260 at the grocery checkout

Can’t really help you with Toluna. I am registered, I got to 25000 points, then stopped doing their surveys. I might drop back in, I think 30000 points gives me $10 at Bunnings. Like you, I use Flybuys/PureProfile, and also I mainly use Pure Profile (not attached to Flybuys) and PrimeOpinion and...

Deb’s Dollar Dazzlers: Smart survey wins, tasty pinwheels, and a $20 boost!

That is so cool that you won an Air Fryer! But it makes you wonder how many people would delete their winning email, when they have no idea they have entered. It’s good that you didn’t hit DELETE.

It takes 10 minutes a day—but it could save you $260 at the grocery checkout

The heading is misleading “it takes 10 minutes a day”. I can honestly say you won’t make much money if you just complete surveys for 10 minutes a day.

Yep, exactly what I do, but I’d avoid paying $14 for bags and delivery

Deb’s Dollar Dazzlers: Smart survey wins, tasty pinwheels, and a $20 boost!

Great to hear! The $$’s do add up, and it’s worthwhile, particularly in these expensive times.

Deb’s Dollar Dazzlers: Smart survey wins, tasty pinwheels, and a $20 boost!

My Cornetts/IGA is connected to IGA software, so specials come up automatically at the till. One day I was buying 1/4 cabbage, just to make a small one-night coleslaw. The operator had about 3 goes to enter it (she said IGA instructions were to enter a whole cabbage, then fiddle on the till to...

Deb’s Dollar Dazzlers: Smart survey wins, tasty pinwheels, and a $20 boost!

Not good practice from IGA! My local IGA is a Cornetts, and they have their own specials on top of IGA specials. I rarely buy anything from my IGA unless it’s on special, and I’m happy to pay 1/2 Coles/Woolies price to enter a competition. Once products go back to “full price” I don’t buy them...

Deb’s Dollar Dazzlers: Smart survey wins, tasty pinwheels, and a $20 boost!

I’m just taking a look at PrimeOpinion now, to claim my $20. After I click “Claim Reward” I scroll down to “Gift Cards (81)” which shows 2 Gift Cards, then says “View 79 more gift cards”. From this list, I usually choose Coles, but there are heaps of options. I’m guessing you haven’t gone into...

July Competition – Winter Memory Lane

I hear you! 24 years in the tropics, then a couple of years in the sub-tropics, no sign of snow or frost!

Retired But Not Tired: Aussie Seniors Turn to Side Hustles to Boost Pensions

I relief teach one day a week to supplement our income (self-supporting retirees). It pays well but is often a tough gig. I’ve worked casually at it for 2 years, I can understand why teachers are leaving in droves. This December will be it for me, time to fully retire.

Sick of cleaning up after someone else’s dog? You’re not the only one!

Many mornings we have dog poop on our front lawn, which we have to clean up. It’s annoying. We believe our neighbour just lets his dog out for a “stroll”, nice and early. Definitely not our dog, he’s fenced in to our side and back yard. What’s is it with some people??
