‘$3.10 isn't even a litre of milk’: Centrelink recipients slam latest payment increase

What a cruel comment. Not everyone is able to work. Your lack of empathy is staggering. The amount they get hardly keeps them in food and rent. Many would work if they were able. Do you know this man's circumstances? Don't make such a vile comment until you know tha facts.

‘$3.10 isn't even a litre of milk’: Centrelink recipients slam latest payment increase

The increase in Job Seeker and the age pension is ludicrous. Almost couldn't believe it when I read the amount. Why are we funding an Olympics when so many people are struggling? $800,000 for Aucus to a country that is about to slap us with tarrifs and is lead by a dictator. The supermarkets...

‘Shut up’: Heated clash erupts live on TV over former PM’s explosive comments

I think all countries should stand up to Trump. The Republican Party in the main are sycophants all going along with his madness so they don't lose their jobs. As for the oligharchs they have one objective to boost their overflowing bank accounts. The whole situation in the US is obscene.

Critics blast the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their appearances amid ongoing crisis

Any support financial or otherwise should be respected and welcomed. I am not a fan of the Sussexes but if they comforted just one person it should be considered an act of kindness.

Major brands recall two best-selling items amid life-threatening concerns

Actually you really can't criticise Temu. Almost all clothes now are made overseas in particular China. However perhaps there should be government regulations restricting the import of, particularly, children's clothes if they don't have a fire danger label on them. The import of dangerous kids...

Deadly disease outbreak ignites call for rollout of new-generation solution

My husband and I have had Covid, flu, shingles and tetanus vaccinations with absolutely no ongoing problems. We had them all pretty close together. Went on a recent cruise where people got Covid. Not us. We are 81 and 84 but are meticulous in washing our hands after pushing trolleys etc.

Protect Your Holiday Joy! Discover How a Local Councillor Might Crush Perth's Cherished Christmas Tradition!

I have to agree that the $27,000 would be better given to The Smith Family or the Salvation Army to buy toys for kids who's families are doing it tough. Most more affluent families have Christmas trees and lights at home anyway.

Absolutely agree with you, there are so many worthy causes. In better economic times maybe but not now when people are struggling particularly those having to sleep rough.

Protect Your Holiday Joy! Discover How a Local Councillor Might Crush Perth's Cherished Christmas Tradition!

Actually in Brisbane there is a society that goes to a couple of the parks and gives food and vet help to people like the homeless that can't afford it.

Protect Your Holiday Joy! Discover How a Local Councillor Might Crush Perth's Cherished Christmas Tradition!

Even worse Moreton Bay Council in Queensland is banning the homeless and their pets. This is an absolutely heartless move particularly at Christmas. Where is their compassion? Are they prepared to provide homes for these destitutue people? Banning not only the homeless but their dogs as well...
