Driving on the wild side: Car's wrong-way stunt leaves commuters in shock!

I did it myself over 40 years ago in Canberra. Didn't know the area at all at the time and missed the signage. It happens. He obviously realised hence having hazards on and driving slowly. Pretty sure if it had happened to any of the driver's online critics they'd wonder why such a fuss was...

Home and Away star claims show has lost its 'essence'

Totally agree. Haven't bothered watching for years. Just seeing the trailers for it turn me off watching. It started out as a great little show but the original concept got lost along the way.

You wouldn't pay someone to change your TV remote batteries, so why would you pay a mechanic for this?

I've never heard of anyone using a mechanic to replace wiper blades. I get the distinct impression this is an ad for Wipertech disguised as a story. As for it being "empowering"? What a load of codswallop. I've changed mine myself since I first had a car 50 years ago. I'm yet to find it...

Bride lashes out at her grandma for leaking her 'secret' wedding gown photos

Poor Nana. It was a mistake. The way the awful granddaughter is carrying on you'd think a murder had been committed. She sounds like a very spoilt, self-entitled woman and if Nana has done anything wrong it's perhaps having a hand in raising her to be this way. My heart is breaking for Nana...

Group warns against ‘very dangerous trap’ for customers as supermarket adopts Afterpay

I'm all for it. I've been iusing Afterpay since its inception and because I budget ahead of time I know whether I can afford to pay for what I've bought consistently over the 4 pay dates. I really wish governments etc would stop nannying people and let then make their own decisions as the adults...

Why is this mini sausage roll outrageously overpriced?

Stop paying these prices. They'll keep charging inflated prices as long as people seem willing to pay for them. Once people show their unwillingness to do so they'll be forced to drop the prices or end up with a heap of unbought stock. Make your own sausage rolls for a quarter of the price.

Are you overpaying for your fruit? Woman in shock over $25 grapes

She would have seen how much per kg they were before she got to the checkout. And once she was told the price she could have handed them back and been refunded. No one is forcing you to buy expensive products. They're not something you must have in your diet. Of course they're going to be more...

Outrage escalates! Why are BIG W and Target stocking this controversial sex education book?

I do wish we'd go back to letting kids be kids for an appropriate time. I have nothing against sex education for kids at the right age nut there does seem to be a push to turn them into adults before they need to be. My 14 year old grandson was telling me about the awful relationship his friend...

Aussies sacrifice surprising luxuries as skyrocketing prices take their toll

I'm going to bed around 7-30pm every night just to cut down on my power bill. I snuggle up in there in my Oodie and watch stuff on my iPad till I'm ready to go to sleep. This way I'm turning my heating and electrical appliances off around 3 or 4 hours earlier. I also use a menu plan and make...

Is Centrelink 'straight up refusing to take any calls'? Frustrated mum speaks out

It's been happening for years. Even a couple of years ago I got that response several times when I called (or tried to call) Disability Services line. If you go into the office instead they tell you this can be done over the phone or online, ignoring the fact that you've told them you couldn't...
