Scientists believe oysters could be the unlikely heroes in South Australia’s fight against algal blooms.
Conservationists from The Nature Conservancy Australia are restoring oyster reefs, referred to as the ‘kidneys of the sea’, to filter and clean ocean water naturally.
A new $10 million funding deal will help expand shellfish reef restoration using recycled oyster shells.
Dr Michaela Dommisse from TNC says it’s an encouraging first step towards protecting marine life for future generations.

A Clarinet Comeback: Parkinson’s Patient Plays Again:
Parkinson`s disease is so debiliting and so difficult to hide. A relative had it and his life was completely turned around, a proud and smart man, became an invalid. He eventually commited suicide, a great loss to his family and friends, "deep brain stimulation" would have helped him with this illness and maybe he would have not suffered to the point where he ended his life.
