CorningWare​

Who remembers these trusty CorningWare dishes with the little blue cornflower pattern? They seemed to be in just about every Aussie kitchen from the ’60s onward, baking everything from tuna mornay to bread-and-butter pudding. Tough as nails, they went from oven to table and lasted for decades — many are probably still going strong today. Did your family have a set, and what favourite dish do you remember being served in them? Tell us all about it.

My mum bought me a set of these when I left home back in the early eighties. I have used them continuously since and they are still used all of the time and still look as new. I also kept all of my mother's after she passed away - we have a bit of a collection now that are always used. They are easy to use, and clean easily. It is sad that they are no more as they were made to last.

I got a set of these for a wedding present in 1977 and I still use thm . They are still looking good today.

Yes me too, I had a very well used set for years. I passed them on to family recently as I moved house and didn’t have much storage, also don’t cook as much as before, and 2 DIL now love them as much as I did.

Still have s variety of these wonderful dishes that have lasted so well and look as new. Great product from Crown Corning.

We received three as a wedding gift in 1966 and still have two left which we still use, some chips in them but still a great cooking item.

My mum had them in the late 60’s. Last time I visited (Toronto), two years ago, they were still in the kitchen cupboard. My sister has them now.

They look like they did decades ago. Made to last!

I still have four, two of which are the deep ones, and one is the next size down. I also inherited another smaller, lidless, shallower one. I use them all the time. Two lids cover all but the small one. They are not stained, but the glass lid of one has yellowed a bit. Great casseroles.

I got a set of these for a wedding present in 1977 and I still use thm . They are still looking good today.

Funnily enough, I got a set of these also as a wedding present from one of the guys I worked with, but in 1967, and still have them, all with perfect and unchipped lids.

I also received 2 larger casseroles with lids and a set of 4 ramekins as wedding presents in 1972. Still use them today and they still look as good.
