Leila, if you are a Pensioner or have a Seniors Card you should be getting free spectacles. Specsavers should be telling you this. I have to pay for my lenses because I have transitional, but with just reading glasses you don't pay. There is certain frames you can choose that don't cost anything either.

I am a Pensiuoner and I have my eyes tested every year but have never received a free pair of glasses when I've needed them. Where do you get them from?
If you pay for a health fund like HBF any optician.

If you are a pensioner you can get a new pair of glasses free every two years, just ask Specsavers at your appointment hoping this helps.
Actually it is just the test that is free I am sure.

My health fund pays only a fraction of the cost of new glasses and I doubt there are many that are any better☹️
