Look out for a very realistic Australia Post scam email which even has a tracking number. Check the tracking number direct on the Australia Post site if you want to find out if the email is genuine.

Looks enough to go into panic look by pressing the link.
MyGov does not do that.
In my experience, they tell you to go into your account mailbox by logging on. I would think that is something most people understand.
It's too late to say woops once one presses the link. Stop and think.

I have received several of these My Gov scams. Also beware of DocuSign email scams. I have had several saying that I have to sign something along re a payment to Paypal . I have contacted Paypal who were very helpful but had trouble contacting Docusign, eventually reaching someone after a lot of button pressing.

I've had three this week from different senders, but I can click 'Report' and they are reported as scams, removed and blocked.

There are so many scam emails coming through from well known companies and MyGov in particular. Always block and remove but still they come..

It’s ok using the “report” button in Outlook but that only reports the one email and blocks the one email account that it was sent with. If you highlight the email address that it came from you will see that on EACH scam email there is a different address shown. There are a lot of email addresses out there so you will probably be hit from a different direction every time.
I recently received 3 different scam emails purporting to be from the ATO. There is an email that you can forward the scam to and you will get a reply from the ATO with an incident number.
That address is [email protected]

Thank you for that information. I get more scam messages than the real ones..

A scammer got me the other day. Always looking for freebies, I did a survey for free pasta products. You had to pay for shipping. While the shipping was processing I noticed the price change from $3 to $5 and also that the address had changed to Great Britain. Alarm bells rang. I have disputed the shipping cost and am closely watching my credit card to make sure no other charges appear. The original site appeared to be Australian. Watch out for this!

There have been alot of scammers recently, I nearly fell for another but noticed their email address. Cancelled very quickly... so many ads look convincing... what has happened to security searching?

WHY DO YOU EVEN BOTHER WITH THESE? ARE YOU AFRAID OF YOUR DELETE BUTTON. THEY SHOULD NOT GO TO YOUR EMAIL BUT SHOULD GO TO YOUR SPAM MAIL.
