A child won't remember. A driver shouldn't forget.
This morning I saw a 4x4 travelling towards the Mornington Peninsula (Vic), pulling a trailer with a large solar panelled speed camera on board. Wherever it's going, it's welcome with beach weather arriving.

I lost my licence for 3 months at 20 yo for speeding 3 times and rightly so. It made me more careful when driving.

Know all about that. Took me 5 years to get on to a full licence after being pulled up a few times for minor infringements

I've only had minor infringements in the last 50 years or so.

The stupid thing about being a P plater back in those days, do just the smallest thing wrong and you'd lose it for 3 months. Then they changed their tune. Instead of being fined and cancelled for 3 months, the government and police in their wisdom decided to give out warnings instead to P platers to "educate" drivers.
The P platers of the time just laughed. Then they went back to the previous ruling of fining and suspending/disqualifying drivers.
