The news of Fantales being discontinued caused quite a stir among Aussies saddened by its impending end. The good news is that the widespread reaction has given Fantales a final boost, with production ramping up for one last time before it goes.

Oh wow! This picture on this one took me way back. How long since I've seen a pack of Steam Rollers! They were the most grown up lolly I could think of, that intense peppermint – I didn't even think of them as lollies, really. My nana was a heavy smoker and always had a pack on her, I guess she could delude herself that it would somehow nullify the tobacco smell that permeated her. Got some bad news, Nana!

I always felt terribly brave when I put a Steam Roller into my mouth, that it was kind of a rite of passage, blasting my tongue and nasal passages with all that fierce mintiness. I would suck on them until I burrowed a hole right through the middle, just to drag out the pain, I guess ha ha
