Young woman's 'perfect' fridge has thousands of people 'freaked out'

There are so many trends and styles that pop up online or on TV every day, and one of them is the tendency to apply aesthetic principles to everything in your home. For some people, every item in their house has to match the personal style that they’re going for.

While that’s perfectly fine, it seems that some people think that one woman may have taken things a bit too far with her fridge.

A woman named Eve has been shamed online for decorating the inside of her fridge to make it look more ‘aesthetically pleasing’ to viewers on TikTok.

In the clip she posted in TikTok, Eve’s fridge can be seen filled with the usual grocery items, such as eggs, vegetables, jars of yoghurt, twelve cans of beer, tequila, green beans, cheese, carrots, and vitamins in clear bottles…

Along with some baby’s breath flowers, a decorative vase, and a framed photo of her cat. Yes, you read that right. Eve literally decorated her fridge to make it look more ‘chic’, supposedly.

Thousands of her viewers were floored to see Eve’s unusual way of filling up her fridge. Many took to the comments to question why she thought filling her fridge with flowers was a good idea.

‘Now we are decorating the INSIDE of our fridges? I simply cannot keep up,’ one stated.

Another said: ‘Not the cat picture.’

One admitted that they’d never seen a picture frame inside a fridge before, but they ‘liked’ it.

‘It’s cute but it makes my skin crawl. I think this counts as my sensory issues,’ one claimed.

Another agreed and said the fridge looked cute but felt like this was a ‘waste of space’.

‘But where’s the food,’ someone questioned.

Others were a bit harsher with their opinions.

‘Your fridge looks pretty – but I doubt you cook,’ one said.

‘It says you're a starving alcoholic with style,’ another wrote.

‘So, dinner is composed of baby carrots, lettuce, some aioli, and a framed picture of a cat. My favourite!’ A third added.

‘Maybe if I add flowers and a picture of my dog, it will counterbalance all the expired condiments and aged leftovers,’ one harshly commented.

You can watch Eve’s video below:

Many were distressed at the thought of having to decorate their refrigerator to keep up with a trend.

Someone mentioned that her fridge is meant to be a fridge and ‘not a display cabinet or coffee table’.

‘This is a first for me. Are we really decorating our fridges? I hate 2023 already,’ one wrote.

Another claimed that they barely had any space for food and drinks because they had a smaller-sized fridge. ‘Now I have to have space for decorating too? Even during the holidays?' They added.

In response to all the criticism, Eve revealed that she lives alone and does not have to take anyone else into account.

‘I'm single, I have no husband and no kids, and I like my fridge like this. Also, florists put their flowers in the fridge, and people just think it's insane because not everyone does it,’ she said about her floral arrangements. She did not give a reason why she put a framed picture of her cat inside the fridge.

It was reported that although flowers must be kept as cool as possible, it’s better to avoid putting them inside your fridge. According to some, a florist’s coolers range from 0.56°C to 4.4°C, and your fridge likely won’t be cool enough for that.

Additionally, experts say never to store fruit in the same fridge with freshly-cut flowers. Fruit, especially apples, produces ethylene gas which will cause cut flowers to age faster.

My fridge is often decorated on the inside - bread crumbs, soft drink bottle ring, maybe a drip or two of something totally unmentionable and sometimes something totally unknown to science! Occasionally I go all out with the forgotten wizened whatever it was in the vegetable crisper! Does this make me eligible to join her club? :ROFLMAO:

I love an organised fridge but what a story to come on today .

See I have 3 neatly organised fridges .

Last night I saw my fridge in the laundry wasn't cold, the freezer is working normal only the fridge isn't cold I YouTube it and have a couple if ideas. Hubby and I will work on that tomorrow.

Then today as I was ready to leave to help my daughter with her wedding dress disaster , I went to get a bottle of water out of my kitchen fridge when ...the whole door fell off 🙄.
I had to run and called out to hubby that there was an urgent job in the kitchen and that I was leaving . How did this happen 😳.

And I believe when something happens twice it happens a third time

I also live alone but definitely don't have room in my fridge for flowers or framed pictures of my fur baby. She has no meat for a meal. I can't see any butter or milk either. Looks like she has a very poor diet.

OMG I hope hubby was able to fix at least one of them and not too much food got spoiled. :(

My fridge is organised, clean unused cat litter trays, two per shelf hold all the jams, butter, sliced meats etc. easy to clean and easy to pull out to get stuff, no more trying to reach the backs of the shelves, no more items getting stuck between two shelves. Crispers for fruit, vegies. Larger space top shelf for milks, juice etc in taller bottles. Door shelves for drinks. Meat section for uncooked meats. Definitely no room for flowers or pictures.everyone in my house knows exactly where to find anything in the fridge.

We had to throw out around $200 worth of stuff. Thus fridge has our extra milks. Our yoghurt. My daughter had done meal prep for 4 days , a chicken dish plus she had just purchased a carton of just egg white . I said to her it could have been worst.

When the door fell off the other fridge today My face would have been ....Shock...horror then I laughed, ran out the door as we were running late and told hubby there was something inside for him 😅

I often have unnamed vegetables and fruits in the crisper and very colourful science experiments in containers. My fridge should be in the running for a prize.
