Young couple mortified after neighbours leave an awkward note asking them to tone down their X-RATED ACTIVITIES at night

Ah, young love birds… Sometimes, they get so carried away that they completely forget there are other people around them.

One couple was left mortified after discovering a handwritten note sent to them by their neighbours in a desperate attempt to keep their intimate, late-night ‘screaming’ to a minimum.

The pair recently moved into an apartment of their own, thinking that their days of ‘keeping it down’ were over. They revealed that they were thrilled to be able to walk around the house with no clothes on and have ‘loud, joyous sex’ anytime they pleased.

And naturally, they were taking full advantage of the freedom – up until their neighbours stepped in to put an end to it, that is.

“Just a small request to please consider that we are all living in an apartment block when making considerable noise quite late at night and in the early hours of the morning,” the note read.

“We have been woken up numerous times to very loud screaming and we are all working different hours, some with very early starts, so sleep is important.”

Initially, the couple was surprised by how polite the note was – considering how there are tons of stories about people resorting to much more violent ways to get a message across online.

But the shame started kicking in when they realised how thin the walls of their 60s flat were. Oopsie daisy…

“Turns out the whole loud, joyous sex thing may only be a luxury awarded to those in free-standing homes and unfortunately, we don't have one of those,” the woman admitted.

And they completely understand where their neighbours are coming from despite the awkwardness of the situation.

“I know myself that if I heard that kind of 'screaming' coming from a neighbour (okay, let's just call it what it is, it's moaning) then I wouldn't be too chuffed about it either. So yeah, my partner and I both agreed that we felt a sense of shame about the letter,” she added.

The problem is that the couple takes delight in being loud during ‘heated’ moments and are now stumped on how to go about their situation. They experimented with various techniques, including muffling the sounds by using a pillow or a gag, but both didn’t feel right to either of them.

Then they opted to only do the deed during the day but eventually realised that it’s quite inconsiderate to neighbours working from home as they would have to deal with the awkwardness on a workday.

They also considered getting wild only during trips to sound-proof hotel rooms or holidays out of the country but later on thought it would be too extreme.

Finally, the couple admitted that the best solution to a happy unit block would be to keep the 'screaming' to a minimum, as requested in the letter.

The woman revealed that she had shared their dilemma on social media and was 'congratulated' by friends for having a healthy sex life. Others argued that her neighbours should get over it and grab some headphones or move elsewhere because noise is simply a part of apartment living.

She has however decided to concede in an effort not to make enemies of her new neighbours.
