‘Another big price rise. It was $14.99 last week,’ they wrote, alongside a shelf photo showing the new price tag: $19.99.
The 1kg Lazzio Medium coffee beans now sit at $19.99, while the Dark variety is priced at $17.99—both reflecting a $3 to $5 increase.
In a statement, ALDI confirmed the change and said the price bump was due to global factors out of their control.
‘The cost of commodities required to produce coffee products has increased due to many factors including global supply issues, climate change and economic pressures,’ ALDI said.
‘As a result, our Lazzio coffee range has experienced adjustments in retail pricing. We are working hand in hand with our Business Partners to deliver the best value and highest quality products to Aussie shoppers.
‘It’s always our ambition to keep prices as low as possible.’
