Woolworths Shopper Shares Exciting New Feature on Reusable Tote Bags

The supermarket giant’s redesigned reusable tote bags have left one of its shoppers speechless because of its new feature that is easy-to-miss.

The shopper shared on TikTok the newest feature of Woolies’ zip-up grocery bags which can be used for chilled and non-chilled items–an over-the-shoulder strap!

‘Woolies are changing the game when it comes to carrying groceries’, the shopper said.

She also added a tip for other customers, ‘Both hands [free] for two more [bags]. You can even do cross body!’

‘I discovered this yesterday and it made the bus ride so much easier’, a TikTok user said.

‘Such a good idea, so much easier to carry,’ a user on Facebook wrote.

Woolworths has responded to the news and a spokesperson confirmed that the handy long strap is a recent addition to the design of their reusable tote bags.

‘We are constantly reviewing our reusable bag range to make sure they are functional for customers,’ said the spokesperson.

‘We recognised that longer straps on our chiller bag could make our customer’s shopping easier and so, over the last few months, we’ve added this into the design,’ the spokesperson added.

These bags are now available in all states and territories for just $2.49. Are you getting one of these? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section below!

And this is how many people wrecked their back in an era when we carried overweight schoolbags on one shoulder and walked home from school. Chiropractors will love these bags.

At least the backpack

s sat in the middle of the back.

I have 2 of the older cold/chiller bags which have zips that go to each back corner of the bag to allow the top to fold back over the bag to allow easy packing ....... the new tote bags have zips that start approximately 15mm from the corners. The new totes are not user friendly and make packing more time consuming and awkward. Like many of others I do not like to carry things over one shoulder (heavy school bags for 6 years of high school was enough).
