Woolworths promises 'ultra convenience' with new rapid grocery delivery service

Good news to the Sydneysiders out there!
In a number of suburbs, Woolworths has launched a new quick delivery app that will allow you to have your groceries delivered right to your doorstep in just under an hour.
How good is that? Now you don't have to leave the comfort of your home to get your weekly groceries – no more dealing with traffic, rising petrol prices, dysfunctional trolleys, out-of-stock items, and many more common supermarket problems!
This brand-new service is called Metro 60, and its operation is very comparable to that of the click-and-collect system used by online grocery stores.
Just buy your groceries through the app, and a staff member will pack them up from the shelves. They will then be dropped off at your door within the hour by a person from Uber, the grocery store's delivery partner, for an extra fee of $5.
It's now easier than ever for regular Woolies customers to have their groceries delivered to their doorsteps thanks to this new service.

With the help of Woolworth's small format Metro stores, customers can order delivery of more than 4,000 products, including snacks, fresh produce, meat, dairy, and cleaning supplies.
There is no charge for the first three deliveries; after that, there is a minimum purchase requirement of $20 and a flat $5 delivery fee. To use the service, customers must first download the dedicated mobile application from the App Store or Google Play.

The service provides door-to-door grocery delivery in 11 eastern Sydney suburbs, including Bondi, North Bondi, Bondi Beach, Vaucluse, Bellevue Hill, Darling Point, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Dover Heights, Point Piper, Darling Point, Double Bay, and Bondi Junction.
And recently, it has grown to include seven more Metro store locations and will be able to deliver to 50 suburbs from Malabar and Mascot, all the way west to Glebe.
In the coming months, Woolworths anticipates that the delivery service will expand to cover a wider range of postcodes, as well as cities in other states.
