BBQ season had arrived—and with it came a sizzling new range from Woolworths.
Bold, international flavours promised to take classic barbecues to the next level.
Best of all, these dishes were made to be shared with family and friends.
Landing in stores this week, the supermarket’s latest BBQ range was designed for maximum flavour and minimal fuss.
Each item could go straight from pack to BBQ, frypan or oven, making it easy for Australians to enjoy a hearty meal without the prep.
The line-up featured four mouth-watering options inspired by global cuisines. Customers could choose from BBQ Korean Style Asado Beef Ribs with Sweet Gochujang Drizzle ($30/kg), BBQ Salt & Chilli Pork Belly Strips with Hot Honey Drizzle ($30/kg), BBQ Boneless Butterflied Chicken Texas BBQ ($10/kg on special this week, normally $11/kg), and BBQ Butterflied Lamb Leg Garlic & Herb ($18/kg).
‘We know how much Aussies love trying new flavours, so we spent a lot of time on these recipes to ensure they were the right balance of flavour, while also being super easy to cook.’
She explained that more Australians were moving towards meals designed to be shared at the centre of the table rather than plated individually.
‘We’re also seeing a trend of people preparing more meals to be shared in the centre of the table compared to individual meals, and with that in mind this new range is perfect for family and friends’ get togethers this spring and summer,’ she said.
Presland added that the brand was especially excited about two items in particular.
‘We’re particularly proud of our new “drizzle” products—the Korean Style Asado Beef Ribs with Sweet Gochujang Drizzle and our Salt & Chilli Pork Belly Strips with Hot Honey Drizzle,’ she said.
‘The drizzle finish adds that extra bit of deliciousness to every bite.’
What This Means For You
Woolworths launched a new BBQ meats range just in time for summer, giving Australians more reasons to fire up the grill.
Inspired by international flavours, the products were designed for easy cooking—straight from the pack to the BBQ, oven, or pan. Choices included beef ribs, pork belly, chicken, and lamb, ensuring there was something to suit every taste at the table.
The supermarket also highlighted its innovative ‘drizzle’ products, created to add an extra burst of flavour with every bite.
Whether you’re planning a relaxed backyard get-together or hosting the whole family, this new range was designed to take the stress out of entertaining and make every meal feel like an occasion.
If you’ve been keeping an eye on what’s new in the supermarket aisles, you’ll know that small changes can sometimes have a big impact on what ends up on your plate.
While Woolworths’ BBQ range introduced exciting new flavours, another recent update involved a subtle shift in how one of its popular meals was labelled.
It’s a reminder that even a single word can influence how we shop and what we choose to bring home.
