Jono, who uses the handle @Jono_Haywood on Twitter, made a tweet about his witty observation after seeing a packet of Woolworths Quick Spirals on the shelf of his local store.

But it was the name ‘Quick Spirals’ that actually caught his eye.

“For when you don’t have time for a complete breakdown,” wrote the shopper in his tweet, which soon went viral, garnering over 100,000 likes and 14,000 retweets.

Other Twitter users were quick to add on the humour, with one saying: “Oh nice, I have these whenever I can’t find something like my car keys or debit card.”

“Perfect for weekdays. I save the complete breakdowns for the weekend,” added another, while a third user chimed in, saying: “Yep, had about 67 of them today!”

“This has tickled me today. Thanks for sharing,” wrote another person.

After seeing that his lighthearted tweet blew up and had gone viral, Jono used the spotlight to share details of where people can turn to for genuine mental health support.

“Well, I guess this somewhat qualifies as viral. I don’t have Venmo or Soundcloud, but I can promote the people you can talk to if you’re spiralling for real, like I have many times: @LifelineAust 13 11 14; @beyondblue 1300 22 4636; QLife 1800 184 527; @SuicideCallBack 1300 659 467."

“Or you can call your state/territory’s mental health crisis resources.”

If you need help now, call your state's mental health crisis line for immediate expert support. They will help you work out which services are best for you. This could be a doctor, a hospital emergency department, or a community mental health service.
