Woman makes a scene on Jetstar flight over 'petty' reason

We're pretty sure most of us here have taken to the skies at some point in our lives, so we aren't exactly unfamiliar when it comes to dealing with the behaviour of our fellow travellers.

But, members, we have to ask: Have you ever had to deal with a guest that was loud, disrespectful, and problematic before your flight?

If you answered 'no' to the question above, then you should count yourselves among the lucky ones because the other travellers on this particular flight are not that fortunate.

A video was taken over the weekend of a woman (believed to be an Australian) on a Jetstar flight from Phuket in southern Thailand to Sydney who was heard and seen yelling at other people on the flight.

You might be curious about what exactly happened that resulted in her creating such a commotion on board the aeroplane. Apparently, she wanted a window seat but sadly didn't get one…

Angry over having to sit near the aisle, the woman lost her cool in a now-deleted Instagram video, in which she can be heard yelling and throwing verbal abuse at airline staff members and her fellow passengers.

Because of this, the airline employees were forced to take urgent action and get the unruly passenger off the plane.

In footage of the scene, she can be seen getting up from her seat, grabbing her bags from the overhead compartment, and yelling, 'I'm out!' as she made her way to the door of the aeroplane.

As the woman made her way off the plane, her fellow passengers spontaneously began to cheer and clap their hands, but just as she was about to exit the flight, she abruptly turned around.

'What did you call me?' she angrily asked as she marched up to one of the passengers.

At this point, several other passengers got to their feet, shooed her away, and waved goodbye in the hopes that the rude woman would finally leave the plane.

For a while, the woman wouldn't move from the exit, where she'd been standing, shouting at the other passengers and pointing at them. Thankfully, though, she eventually made her way out, much to the relief of everyone on board.

According to a spokesperson for Jetstar, who verified the incident, the woman was removed from the aeroplane after becoming 'disruptive and using abusive and inappropriate language'.

In a statement, they said: 'An unruly passenger was escorted off our flight prior to take off in Phuket after becoming disruptive and using abusive and inappropriate language towards other customers and our team members.'

'Airport security in Phuket was called, and the passenger was escorted off the flight. We take safety and security very seriously, and this type of behaviour will not be tolerated on our aircraft.'

What a story! Let's keep our fingers crossed that we don't have to deal with someone that disrespectful during our next travels.

Just throwing this out there! Could a passenger/ the passenger (group action) sue the airline for the stress from this incident and could the airline then sue the passenger?

What a piece of work!! There are so many people who feel entitled!!! I hope they ban her permanently from their flights!!

I wonder what her story is?
I agree she shouldn't abuse people and needed to be removed from the flight, but let's try to understand she may have a lot deeper issues than we are aware of.

It's like my partner had just returned from Malaysia a couple of weeks ago and I paid extra to book his window seat in advance. So the seat number ended in A which is a window seat. When he boarded the plane, another woman was already sitting in his seat. She was adamant that she got the window seat because she had B and her partner had C. Figure?? Anyway the airline host was able to sought out and explain to the women who was still disgruntled, or maybe she didn't like my partner because he was a small Asian man who she thought she could be disrespectful to in order to get her way. Anyway the rest of the flight was uneventful which was good
