Woman flaunts her jaw-dropping, dreamy pantry – and how YOU can replicate it!

One of the many areas at home that’s prone to clutter? The pantry. It can seem impossible to keep our pantries organised when we scramble for ingredients, sauces, and all the other bits and pieces that accumulate over the months and years (we’ll use that can of kidney beans we bought before the pandemic started any day now, just you wait).

But one mum has proven that having your own magazine-esque pantry is within reach after sharing how she pulled it off – and we’ve got to admit we’re awe-struck.

Tanzin Cook, based in Sydney, bragged about her perfectly organised fridge, drawers, and cupboards online, blowing thousands away with her unmatched attention to detail.

She detailed that the makeover began when an opportunity came up to revamp her family’s kitchen. Although the kitchen was already nice, she said it was small and dysfunctional.

“I wanted a kitchen and pantry that was beautiful, but more importantly functional and practical – designed especially in mind for easy access and view,” the mum said.

Tanzin’s new pantry stores food items including spices and beverages that are individually packaged and labelled, while multiple pull-out drawers neatly stow little snack packets.

Each of the drawers contained bamboo boxes to divide the snacks accordingly, including excess groceries, baking tools, and utensils.

Her first tip is to make use of as many drawers as possible and keep the pantry doors open.

This provides easy access to the items as well as a clear visual of what’s in stock. She also transferred a variety of food items into clear, airtight containers for the same reason.

Tanzin also got her hands on mini shelves for added convenience.

She purchased most of the storage solutions from Little Label Co, Amazon Australia, and Kmart.

The mum added that getting a good grasp of the organisation tools you need is the key to a flawless pantry – and if you’re worried that replicating Tanzin’s pantry upgrade is going to be time-consuming, she reassured her followers that the project took her little to no time at all to finish.

“I love to cook, and it’s become even more enjoyable since my kitchen and pantry have been sorted because everything is within easy reach and I’m not wasting any time trying to find where things are,” she said.

“Grocery shopping is also simplified now because I can see what’s needed without anything hiding in the back of a shelf,”

Several were stunned by the gorgeous layout of the kitchen.

“I love having organisation inspirations in my life. Thank you, Tanzin,” one person wrote.

“You are my inspiration,” another chimed.

A third said: “I’m glad I’m not the only one who loves to line things up like this.”

Tanzin said that the upgrade had changed her and her family’s life for the better and improved their well-being.

“Many people – parents especially – will know just how frustrating it can be to try and find things, particularly in a moment of rush, so keeping spaces in my home organised alleviates this problem,” she said.

“It has also encouraged a lot of independence in my children who know where everything is and do many things on their own with confidence. I want my home to nurture calm and ease, which I am achieving by creating spaces that work for us as a family,”

“In my experience, an organised home is an organised mind. A place for everything and everything in its place,” she shared.

To be honest, I look at this and shudder! What happens when a different size, make or quantity is available on special, she must have a heart attack trying to make it fit in. What does she do with all the half packets of stuff? I know that when I buy sugar for instance I usually buy 2 or 3 kg and my container at home only holds less than a kg, Same goes for tea and coffee. the benchtop containers are just not big enough to hold the amounts sold in shops.

My pantry has a sort of organised chaos behind it. Things that are used regularly are on the most handy shelf (middle} with most everything else in either ascending or descending order on the rest of the shelves, roughly sweet above and savoury below. The very top and bottom shelves are used for the excess stock I have accumulated to see me through hard times and dark days.

I love this. A place for everything and everything in its place. My family were aware that was my way, so things always stayed in their place. Not that hard. Although my pantry doesnt look like that, but maybe one day. ;);):)
