A woman from the US recounted her experience of almost being removed from her flight due to a revealing top.
The social media user known as Jacy to her 2.7 million followers detailed how the flight attendant ‘harassed her’ for donning a corset top during the journey.
Jacy, sharing the incident in a video, described being approached by a lady who inquired, ‘Do you have a jacket or something? You need to cover up.’
While filming from her seat, Jacy claimed that the flight attendant provided her with a shirt to wear.
Despite refusing to comply, another passenger intervened to support her against the employee.
When asked about the rules Jacy supposedly broke, the flight attendant reportedly became defensive.
Unfortunately, the sympathetic stranger ended up being ejected from the flight.
This occurred on a warm day, and according to reports, most passengers were casually dressed in shorts and singlets.
Jacy, on her part, contested the notion that her top was inappropriate, emphasising that her torso was fully covered and only her shoulders were exposed.
‘Today has been a circus and f*** you, Southwest. I was about to cry.’
The entire exchange, according to her, was quite ‘embarrassing’, leaving her with a sense of being ‘shamed in front of everybody’.
Jacy also shared that she wore a sports bra and biker shorts on a Southwest flight without encountering any problems.
Her followers rallied behind her, expressing support through messages.
‘Why do men never get dress-coded?!’ questioned one user.
Another added, ‘Even more INSANE considering Southwest planes are a million degrees before takeoff and after landing.’
Sympathy flowed from a commenter who shared, ‘I've also been dress-coded on a Southwest flight, girl. I feel you.’
