Who Says You Can't Have Your Cake and Eat Pizza Too? Check Out This Amazing Dessert Creation!

Cooking is like an art form, and just like any masterpiece, a sprinkle of creativity can take your dish to new heights! From experimenting with recipes to presenting your dish with panache, there's always room for some extra flair in the kitchen.

And speaking of creativity, have you heard about this recent creation by Chantelle? She's a crafty home cook who recently took the internet by storm with her latest culinary masterpiece – a pizza cake!

Yes, you read that right – a cake that looks like a pizza! And let us tell you, it's not your ordinary run-of-the-mill pizza. Chantelle's creation is a decadent dessert treat that will make your taste buds dance with joy.

So, what's the secret ingredient, you ask? It's none other than Woolworths' apple and cinnamon tea cakes (the bad news is this particular cake seems to have been discontinued)! Chantelle took these humble tea cakes and transformed them into a work of art that looks like a pizza but tastes like heaven.

The best part? Chantelle's pizza cake is not just delicious but also a feast for the eyes. With its realistic pizza toppings, it's hard to believe that this is actually a cake! It's no wonder that social media is abuzz with people raving about Chantelle's creation.

To make this pizza cake, Chantelle used three apple and cinnamon tea cakes from Woolworths as her base (you can substitute this for another cake such as a caramel mud cake). She then transformed them into a round pizza-like shape by removing the tops and moulding them to perfection.

Next, Chantelle added the 'tomato base' by spreading some sweet and tangy strawberry jam all over the cake. And this is where things start to get interesting. To create the toppings, Chantelle used all sorts of treats to give her pizza cake that realistic pizzeria vibe.

For the salami and green capsicum strips, she used fruit roll-ups that she artfully cut into the perfect shape. Dried mango slices came in handy for the yellow capsicum, while hollowed-out black round licorice made for realistic olives.

What's a pizza without some pepperoni and pineapple, right? Well, Chantelle made those toppings out of fruit bars, which she expertly cut and shaped to look like the real deal. And to finish it off, she grated Caramilk chocolate and coconut to mimic the gooey, cheesy goodness on top of her pizza cake.

But the pièce de résistance? The takeaway pizza box that Chantelle scored for free from her favourite pizza joint. It's the perfect touch that ties the whole pizza cake experience together.

While the cake looked amazing, Chantelle admitted it tasted 'pretty gross'. Credit: Facebook.

Chantelle herself admits that the combination of apple and licorice may not be for everyone, but that doesn't stop the cake from being a jaw-dropping work of art.

She even suggests that the cake tastes better when the toppings are picked apart and enjoyed individually. (As the saying goes, we eat with our eyes first, and this pizza cake is a feast for the eyes!)

But regardless of the taste, the internet was blown away by Chantelle's handiwork. Hundreds of people were fooled by the pizza cake's realistic appearance, with many taking to social media to express their amazement and praise for the unique creation.

From 'this looks amazing' to 'bravo', the online community was quick to applaud Chantelle's creativity and attention to detail. And let's face it, it takes a lot of skill and patience to create something like this pizza cake.

I made a pizza cake when my children were young - it was a massive hit. But I made the cake, likewise used strawberry jam but drizzled white chocolate for the cheese and lollies like spearmint leaves and raspberries as well as many more.

I've made everything from Sleeping Beauty's cake to a crypt with headstone. I tried to make what was requested by my children for their birthdays
