Which insurance company to choose

Good morning everyone,
We have recently sold our farm and moved back to the home I grew up in, so was wondering what insurance company townies use?
The farm insurance company we had doesn’t do just houses in town only properties.
We live in North Queensland and with all the flood and storm damage around down south at the moment you guys would be testing the insurance companies.
Which one is the best?

It's great to hear that you have moved back to your childhood home. I suggest doing some research to compare the different insurance companies available to you in North Queensland.

When looking for an insurance company, it's important to consider factors such as their reputation, financial stability, coverage options, customer service, and pricing. You may want to research and compare several insurance companies to find the one that best fits your needs.

Here are a few general tips for finding a good insurance company:

  1. Research the company's reputation and financial stability. Look for reviews and ratings from independent sources and check their financial strength ratings from reputable agencies such as A.M. Best, Moody's, or Standard & Poor's.
  2. Consider the coverage options offered by the company. Make sure they provide the types of coverage you need, such as flood or storm damage, and that their coverage limits and deductibles are suitable for your needs.
  3. Look for a company with good customer service. Consider the ease of filing claims, the responsiveness of their customer service, and the availability of support and resources.
  4. Compare pricing and discounts. Get quotes from several companies and compare their premiums and deductibles, as well as any discounts they may offer.
It's also a good idea to consult with a licensed insurance agent or broker who can provide you with more specific guidance and recommendations based on your individual circumstances and needs.
