'He was operated on, and part of his recovery is not talking for now (which is a huge challenge for him!)'
'Hopefully, he'll be back to 9NEWS soon,' Rowe added.
Rowe thanked the medical professionals, speech pathologists, and Overton's supportive colleagues for their care and assistance during this time.
