Time to decode the latest lingo from the young ones!

Today’s phrase: 'Bed rot'

No, it’s not a new mattress issue! It’s Gen Z-speak for those glorious times when you just stay in bed—reading, watching telly, or simply relaxing after a big week.

Example: 'I’ve had a busy week, so I’m looking forward to some much-needed bed rot this weekend.'

Turns out the grandkids do love a good lie-in — they’ve just given it a fancy name!
