What saucy secret did Arnold Schwarzenegger reveal about ageing and sex?

Many of our Seniors Discount Club members will remember Arnold Schwarzenegger's rise to fame from his legendary career as a bodybuilder, actor and politician. Well, at the age of 75, the action icon is showing that age is no barrier when it comes to maintaining an impressive physique and an active lifestyle.

In a recent interview with Men's Health, Arnold opened up about his thoughts on ageing, staying fit, and even shared a cheeky revelation about his sex life.

Sporting a chiselled physique even in his senior years, Arnold gave a glimpse of his rigorous workout regime. After undergoing several heart and knee surgeries, he revealed that he hits the weights at the iconic Gold's Gym in Venice Beach. When talking about his motivation for staying in shape, he said, 'I train to stay alive, to be able to do my movies.'

Fitness and mental well-being go hand in hand for the Terminator star, who said, 'When you train, it is not just that your body gets pumped up and gets stimulated with blood, it’s also your mind.' Arnold believes that one's outlook on life becomes more positive after having a good workout, bike ride, or other sports activity.

Now, let's get to the saucy bit. When asked about his 'euphemism' for sex, Arnold cheekily quipped, 'Why would you use a code word? At my age, sex is becoming a four-letter word. “Help!”' The former Mr Olympia, who is in a long-term relationship with Heather Milligan, 48, proves that age is just a number, both in the gym and the bedroom.

Reflecting on his best physique, Arnold revealed that 1974 marked the pinnacle of his bodybuilding career when he weighed 237 lbs and won the Mr Olympia title. That feeling of nostalgia washes over him, occasionally bringing him to tears when striking the classic bodybuilding poses, which he now practises only in the bathroom.

The beloved Conan the Barbarian star also discussed his past usage of steroids, stating he took 'One hundred milligrams a week, and then three Dianabol a day, so that was 15 milligrams a day.' He expressed his concerns about the abuse of drugs in bodybuilding today and how it has led to tragic consequences.

On an exciting note, Arnold was recently named Netflix's Chief Action Officer, endorsing the streaming platform's upcoming action movies such as Heart of Stone with Gal Gadot, Extraction 2 with Chris Hemsworth, and the series The Witcher featuring Henry Cavill. He even stars in his own Netflix series, FUBAR, released on May 25th, where he plays the father of Monica Barbaro's character, both of whom discover they work for the CIA.

Healthy Ageing and Active Lifestyles for Seniors

As people get older, it's normal for them to experience various physical, mental, and emotional changes that can take a toll on their overall health and well-being. It is important, however, for seniors to take proactive steps to maintain their health and keep their body and mind active. Arnold Schwarzenegger's long and successful career in Hollywood provides an example of how investing in one's health and fitness as a senior can lead to a healthier and more fulfilling life.

By staying active, eating well, and investing in good sleep hygiene, seniors can promote healthy ageing and keep their bodies and minds in top condition. Furthermore, it's important to stay connected with friends and family, cultivate an attitude of positivity and joy, and do activities that bring them joy and satisfaction, be it planting flowers or playing games.

Wow, Arnold has always been my childhood idol too! His dedication to fitness is truly inspiring. I've always dreamed of having a sculpted body like his, but let's face it, I'm nowhere near as muscular. I do work out regularly, and yeah, I have to admit, I've dabbled with steroids, but nothing close to what Arnold used. If you're interested, there are still some steroids for sale out there, but I'd advise caution and consulting a professional before considering anything like that.
