What I am grateful for this year

I am alive.
Yesterday I finished my chemotherapy - a year to the day since I started on my cancer therapies.
I was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive breast cancer last October, and was sent for a PET scan. This picked up colon cancer, which had not shown up in the bowel test.
During my treatments, twice the medics picked up on blood clots just in time; and they also saved me when one of the transfusions sent me into anaphylaxis, when I collapsed, and received fractures to both skull and spine, and had an asthma attack - simultaneously.
I am still here. I have received support from so many people - family, friends and church members.
Plus, of course, the teams of medical personnel who have taken care of me all year, and who, though overworked, never failed to be kind and courteous and efficient!
I am so grateful for them all!
