What’s your current favourite book?

G'day, members! I hope you’re all doing well and looking forward to the weekend as much as I am! 🌟 There's nothing quite like relaxing with a good book, and I'm on the lookout for my next great read. So, I’d love to know: what’s your current favourite book?

To start things off, here are a few titles I’ve recently enjoyed and highly recommend:
  • Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan - A beautifully written, poignant novella that captures the essence of small-town life and quiet resilience.
  • Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir - A gripping science-fiction adventure filled with unexpected twists, humour, and a lot of heart.
  • Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel - Another mesmerising sci-fi book that spans centuries and explores the nature of time and existence.
Now, it's your turn! Drop your suggestions in the comments below—I’m excited to discover some new favourites!

Thanks in advance for sharing your top picks, and happy reading!

‘Dissolution’ by C J Sansom. This is the first of six historical novels set in Tudor England under Henry VIII. The author died recently so there won’t be more, but they are not just history, but mystery and detective fiction too. Real people mix with imagined characters that draw you in to want to turn the pages to find out what happens next. This first book has been dramatised with parts of the second into a TV and Netflix series which looks good, but I recommend reading the book first.
