Was I in the wrong ??​

Last night, my husband and I went to a hotel to play the pokies. Up by the bar was a man in his 60's chatting to a much younger guy about women lol.
The older guy was using the "F" word and the "C" word a LOT. So after listening to this for a while, my husband went up to the barmaid and mentioned that we didnt approve of this, as it was quite loud. She told hubby that she would let the man know. Anyway after it continuing for a while, I then went up to the man, arms akimbo, and said " if you don't stop that language , I will put my fist into your dirty mouth" Yes, I was mad as I had received bad medical news that arvo, and had gone out to forget it for a while.
When that was said, the guy said sorry, but the barmaid turned to me and told me to stop threatening her customers! I told her that I shouldnt have to put up with that language. She said that it HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ME ! I replied that it did as I shouldnt be doing her job, and I had to listen to it. I then walked back to my machine.
The old guy came over and apologised, and in the end we were friends.
Okay, was I right or wrong ?

My husband had gone and complained to the bar staff, who did nothing! He doesnt like confrontations, hence me doing it all !!

Good for you! You were right to tell him to quit the filthy language. While I was growing up, and later in life, I never once heard my either my mother or my father (at least in his family's presence) swear. No one has to put up with that language, least of all a lady.
