I was brought up in a suburb nicknamed "Little Italy". Of course, it also included Greek neighbours, Portuguese and Lebanese.
The Greek and Italian men, specifically, would always pinch a woman's butt when they could, even (more like usually) in public!
It was never reprimanded and even seen as a compliment!
Wolf whistling, too, was notoriously common and not only from tradies.
