Recently, Billy and his partner, Crystle Fleur, jetted off on a romantic adventure across Western Australia to celebrate their first anniversary.
The couple, clearly enjoying every minute, kept fans in the loop with a steady stream of happy holiday snaps.
But one particular photo really set tongues wagging and left Billy’s four kids absolutely mortified.
The now-infamous image? Billy, in all his glory, skinny dipping in the pool at Broome’s Cable Beach Club.
The photo, cheekily posted to his Instagram (with a whopping 130,000 followers), showed the former Geelong star enjoying a dip, sans swimmers.
The caption is Classic Billy: ‘Some call it "Skinny Dipping", I like to call it "Fat Dipping".’
So, who’s to blame for this bare-all moment? According to Billy, it was none other than his partner-in-crime, Crystle.
‘She thought it was fun. I was just paddling around in the pool, splashing about, and she said, "I’ve got a shot here for you. Darl, we’ll get rid of those shorts and just have a bit of fun with it.'"
And just like that, the photo was snapped and uploaded for the world to see.
The internet, predictably, went into meltdown. Comments poured in from fans, friends, and even a few famous faces.
Bec Judd, wife of AFL great Chris Judd, who happened to be holidaying at the same resort, quipped: ‘Hahahaha. Nice seeing you yesterday.
Glad you had some clothes on.’ Lisa Brayshaw, wife of Billy’s radio co-host James Brayshaw, chimed in: ‘I just said to James… oh no, I think Bec is there on holidays. I hope she’s left by now because you can’t unsee this if it’s in your resort pool.’
But while Billy’s mates and fans were in stitches, his kids were less than impressed. His daughter Ruby, never one to mince words, commented: ‘Wow, it gets worse.’ She even called her dad directly, telling him, ‘Dad, you’re a d*******.’
Ouch! Billy, ever the good sport, took it all in stride, laughing off the embarrassment and pointing out that the post had racked up over 120,000 views. ‘The punters loved it,’ he said.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Billy’s sense of humour has made headlines. Earlier in the trip, he posted a video of himself ‘cutting laps’ in the pool—only for the camera to reveal the pool was a mere three metres long!

Their Western Australia adventure has taken them from the stunning reefs of Ningaloo to the dramatic landscapes of Hamersley Gorge, and up to the sun-soaked beaches of Broome.
