Vietnamese Spring Rolls

If you love a nutritious veggie wrap, then you will surely love this refreshing twist to it. This classic Vietnamese dish is a tried-and-tested people-pleaser! Not to mention, it’s also an easy way to incorporate more greens into your diet or convince youngsters to snack on healthier options instead.

Luckily, one popular TikTok foodie demonstrated how to whip up Vietnamese Spring Rolls effortlessly.

Here are the ingredients you need:
1. Rice paper
2. Mini prawns
3. Lettuce
4. Vermicelli (traditional noodles)
5. Sliced cucumbers
6. Shredded carrots
7. Mint
8. Silantro
9. Basil


For the sauce:
1. Diced garlic
2. Peanut butter
3. Hoisin sauce
4. Fish sauce
5. Sriracha
6. Water

Kick things off by dipping a sheet of rice paper into a bowl of water. Lay the damp rice paper onto a flat surface before layering the ingredients. It doesn’t have to follow a specific order, so feel free to have fun with it! You can also opt to add (or remove) any herb you’d like.

Once you’re pleased with the filling, fold the sides in gently, then start rolling from the bottom to the top. Ta-da! You’ve got yourself a tasty spring roll.

Tip
Don't soak the sheet of rice paper in water - it will break apart easily. Just a quick splash is good enough!

To make the sauce, simply combine diced garlic, a tablespoon of peanut butter, a teaspoon of hoisin sauce, a teaspoon of fish sauce, a few drops of sriracha, and water together. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and the sauce is good to go!
