Urgent recall: Safety risks found in a popular gardening tool and sweet treats

Regular maintenance of lawns is essential to keep them looking their best. However, before you start, it's important to ensure your equipment's safety features are working properly.
But for those who are unaware, recent product safety warnings from authorities have revealed that certain lawn mowers have been found to pose safety risks.
The Honda Australia HRN216 and HRX217 lawn mowers have been found to have a manufacturing defect causing a possible risk of injury to the user.
All lawn mower models are sold nationally online via the Honda website and at authorised Honda dealers.
The affected HRN216 Mulch and Catch Domestic Lawn Mower with GCV170 engine models include: HRN216PKU, HRN216VKU and HRN216VYU.
The recalled models of the HRX217 Mulch and Catch Premium Domestic Lawn Mower with GCV200 engine include: HRX217HYU and HRX217HZU (electric start).
According to a recall notice on the Product Safety Australia website, a defect in the camshaft decompressor mechanism in the engine means using 'excessive force' might be required to pull the starter rope to start the engine in models without an electric starter.
In models with an electric starter, the starter may fail to start the motor. 'There is a risk of a strain injury from kickback of the starter rope because of high compression within the engine,' the recall notice said.
Due to the safety risk, anybody who has purchased this product has been urged to stop using it immediately and contact the nearest authorised Honda Power Equipment dealer to arrange a free repair.
It's not just the tools you're wielding out the back that could be harmful. Sweet treats are also raising some alarm bells.
In particular, Love Raw Peanut Butter Cups sold in New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria and Western Australia have recently been recalled.
The product's Milk Choc and White Choc flavours were found to possess gluten in five separate production batches.
Affected batches of the Milk Choc Peanut Butter Cups have best-before dates of February 7, 2024 and February 9, 2024. Meanwhile, the batches of the White Choc items have best-before dates of July 12, 2023, August 28, 2023, and February 15, 2024.
According to Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), the recall is due to an undeclared allergen, which may affect those with gluten allergies. Symptoms to watch out for range from mild to severe, including dermal rashes, nausea, diarrhoea, asthma, stuffy or runny nose, bloating, constipation and fatigue.
It's important to remember that these items have been sold in independent food retailers, so anybody who has purchased Love Raw Peanut Butter Cups is strongly urged to avoid eating them and return them for a full refund at the original place of purchase.
