Urgent Hospital Cover

Due to my Dad and Grandad both having Bowel Cancer my Nuitritionist suggested me having a Colonoscopy. We have been with HCF Life Insurance and Ambulance/Extras for sometime now, the Ambulance Cover seemed to grow into the Extras Cover but omitted to cover Hospital🙃🤔 which I have just found out when I submitted my forms to reception at the Private Hospital. I rang HCF and they confirmed no cover, a 12-month wait and disconnected whilst waiting for a quote. Needless to say I cancelled the Colonoscopy procedure but just putting it out there if any immediate cover is available?

Quote for Private Hospital room $1,103, + Anaesthetist, +??, already paid $410 at the Drs, maybe that was for the ‘clean me out’ pack??? Any views on this situation? Brighteyes Needless to say I’m not impressed with HCF.

Hi Brighteyes, sorry to hear about your problems with HCF,I've been with them for years never had a problem. There are lots of other health insurancers out there, maybe other members can help you find a good one.Regards Paula.
