Tzatziki yogurt Sauce a dip for any occassion

INGREDIENTS

• ▢1/2 of a large cucumber - unpeeled

• ▢1 1/2 cups plain full fat Greek yogurt

• ▢2 large garlic cloves - finely minced

• ▢2 tablespoons extra virgin Authentic-Greek-Tzatziki-Recipe-217-1800-1024x1536.jpgolive oil

• ▢1 tablespoon white vinegar

• ▢1/2 teaspoon salt

• ▢1 tablespoon minced fresh dill

INSTRUCTIONS

• Grate the cucumber and drain through a fine mesh sieve overnight in the fridge. If you don't have time to do the overnight drain, just gently press the cucumber in the sieve to press out more of the liquid

• Combine the yogurt, garlic, oil, vinegar, and salt in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight. If you want to serve this immediately, then you can skip the overnight part.

• Transfer the grated cucumber and fresh dill to the yogurt mixture and stir to combine. Serve chilled with pita bread for dipping.

I brush the pita bread after cutting it with olive oil than toast in oven
 
The traditional Greek Tzatziki doesn't have vinegar or dill in it.
Try lemon juice instead of vinegar and mint instead of dill.
The best Tzatziki is made with mint. We make it on the same day we want to use it. No need to stand overnight

Also best way to use the pitta bread is to make a mixture of oil, lemon juice and oregano. Lightly brush the pitta bread with the oil mixture and fry in a frypan .

Tzatziki goes well on chicken wraps and served with lamb souvlaki

Learn to mind your own business...dill is better than mint in Greek original tzatziki dip.

Unbelievable I just gave you variety. Tzatziki is horrible with dill. Wow you have a really horrible side to you.
I have many people tell me what differently they add to the recipes I post and love these responses .

You added a Greek recipe and being from a Greek family thought I would let you know.

There are many versions to any recipe.

So far add up you preconception of me

1 called me nasty
2 told me, i have horrible side you dont even know me but you have shown your true colour.
3 you also said my attitude goes against my postings, beside cooking now you are attacking what i post who is the one with an attitude?
4 you think other people opinion or feelings don't count. As I said I could have torn your recipes to pieces but I didn't out of respect
