Twisties set to release exciting new flavour: ‘Unlike any chip you've tried before’

We here at the Seniors Discount Club understand the joy that comes with trying out a unique and unexpected food combination—who would have thought that salt and vinegar would taste so good on chips?

Well, it's time for snack fans to test their taste buds again, as Twisties has just introduced their latest creation: the Donut King Cinnamon Donut flavour

Yes, you read that right, dear members. The iconic Australian snack brand has taken a bold step, combining the classic taste of Twisties with the heavenly aroma of a cinnamon doughnut. So, if you have a sweet tooth, this might just be the snack for you.

Twisties were first invented in Adelaide, Australia, back in 1951 and have since become a favourite snack for many Aussies. Known for their peculiar twisted shape and irresistibly crunchy texture, Twisties have captured the taste buds of both young and old alike.

Set to hit stores on August 7th, even the chip manufacturer admits that the combination is 'unexpected'.

Melanie Saluni, Twisties Brand Manager, said, 'We wanted to shine a light on the fun that Twisties brings to the Australian chip aisle, so we thought what better way to do that than with a new flavour that is set to get heads turning.'

She added, 'The new Twisties Donut King Cinnamon Donut flavour is unlike any chip you've tried before, and we can't wait for the feedback as consumers get their hands on this for the first time.'

These flavourful snacks are to be sold in 80g bags for $2.70. Keep your eyes peeled for them at Donut King, Woolworths, Coles, IGA, Ampol, BP, Coles Express, and some independent retailers.

If you're a die-hard Twisties fan, you might remember that this isn't the first time the brand has dabbled in sweet flavours. Just a few months ago, they released Raspberry Twisties, catching everyone off guard—however, it turned out to be a hit with fans and was warmly welcomed.

Australia has been enjoying a wide variety of Twisties for several decades now. With over 40 flavours to choose from, including cheese toastie, taco, and pizza, there's something for everyone. The classic chicken and cheese flavours are a staple, but we're always thrilled to welcome new and exciting additions to the lineup.

However, as much as we adore these delicious snacks, it's crucial to remember the importance of moderation. While indulging, it's essential to practise portion control and strive for a balanced approach by incorporating healthier snacking alternatives into our routine.

Key Takeaways

  • Twisties is releasing a new Donut King Cinnamon Donut flavour on August 7th.
  • The snack will be sold in 80g bags for $2.70 at various retailers such as Donut King, Woolworths, Coles, IGA, and others.
  • Over 40 flavours of Twisties have been released since its inception in 1950, with cheese and chicken flavours always in circulation, supplemented by limited edition flavours.

Members, the next time you're out and about doing your grocery shopping, keep an eye out for this new addition to the Twisties family. You might just find yourself delightfully surprised and perhaps even discover a new guilty pleasure.

After all, who could resist the mouth-watering combination of a savoury twist with the sweet warmth of cinnamon doughnuts? As always, happy snacking! Do you have other snack recommendations to share with the rest of us? Drop them in the comments below!

No thank you . I love the cheese flavour I don't even eat the chicken flavour.

The original is the best and changing the flavour ... to me it's then not twisties
They aren't "changing" the flavour...just adding another! Love the cheese also and have never even been tempted to have the chicken flavoured ones.

This is why the ever faithful fantail is disappearing. (I'm not thinking about the aging machinery here though.) These companies are trying too hard to offer different flavours. Stick with what most people love and leave the cinnamon flavour to the doughnuts.

People should refrain from trying and eating all these types of food items. Particularly those types of things can contribute to obesity, diabetes, dementia, insulin resistance and a host of other long-term diseases. Twisties are one of those items regardless of the flavour. What about enjoying them in moderation you might say? Well, the problem is most people don't know what moderation means and as time passes, they find themselves consuming many items daily in moderation. Now all of a sudden, the term moderation goes out the window and addiction, obesity and disease steps in. Sorry to be a spoil sport when it comes to this, but with every interesting or exciting bit of news like this there should always come with a caveat of 'eat it at your own risk'.

I'd rather energy be put towards bringing Dunkin' Donuts to Australia! They are a thousand times better than Krispy Kreme!

Twisties are not Twisties if they are not cheese.
I don't eat them often (say once a year), but when I do, the only one for me is the cheese variety.
Don't care to try anything else, and actually, will not buy anything else because they fall out of the budget just for the sake of trying.
If someone gave me a sample pack for nothing, I might test it.
No .... even then I just cannot come at acknowledging the Twisties as being anything but cheese.

Chicken flavours quite nice I like my twisties in a sandwich with tomato sauce and lettuce for a snack!👍
