TV host Carrie Bickmore debuts new 'bada**' tattoo, and the internet has thoughts
They might be an acquired taste, but tattoos are also a beautiful way to express yourself.
Whether it’s a small and delicate design or an intricate piece that spans your entire back, there are endless possibilities when it comes to this form of self-expression.
As we get older, many of us start to feel more confident about our bodies and ourselves, which often leads us to finally get that ink we’ve always wanted but never had the guts to go through with.
If that sounds like you, then this story is definitely for you! And if not, it’s still a fun read anyway!
Australian TV host Carrie Bickmore recently debuted a new tattoo on her wrist. The small design features two hearts placed near each other and has special meaning for Carrie as it commemorates her daughter Adelaide.

‘You may have seen on my Instagram a few weeks ago when I was away, Chris sent me a video of Addie. She was missing me and … she wants me to know that she loves me, and this is what she says…’, Carrie began, before audio played of her daughter saying ‘Bye mum! I love you heart to heart.’
Carrie continued: ‘And I thought, I can't have her with me at all times because I've got stuff to do.’
‘So I thought, why not have her with me in spirit and I'll get two little hearts tattooed on my wrist so I can look down and always think of her saying, “I love you mum, heart to heart”.’
In jest, Carrie added: ‘That’s some bada** s***.’
Well, we think that’s just gorgeous — something social media users agreed with as they quickly took to Twitter and Instagram to share their thoughts on Carrie’s new ink.
Many users thought the tattoo was ‘adorable’ and beautiful.
‘Awww! I have two hearts on my wrist too, which represent my two kids’ hearts,’ one user with a similar tattoo wrote.
‘When they were younger they would colour one in with text, and that day I would draw a heart on their wrist so every time they looked down we were connected.’ (We think that’s a beautiful sentiment, and a great way to keep your loved ones close to you at all times.)

Meanwhile, if you’re thinking about getting a tattoo but are worried about the pain, there are a few things you can do to ease your mind.
Firstly, remember that everyone experiences pain differently, so what may have been unbearable for someone else may not be so bad for you.
Secondly, the pain you feel will depend on where on your body part you’re getting the tattoo on and how big it is. For example, getting a small tattoo on your bicep is likely to hurt a lot less than a large piece on your ribs.

Third, try to relax as much as possible while you’re getting the tattoo as this can help to minimise any discomfort you’re feeling. If you’re really worried about it, you could always consider getting a numbing cream to help ease the pain.
And last, talk to your artist. Let them know how they’re doing so they can adjust their methods accordingly. Perhaps the placement you had in mind is simply too painful and another spot can be chosen.

So, are you thinking about getting a tattoo? Or is it something you think would be better appreciated on someone else? Are your grandkids fans of the increasing tattoo popularity?
