True story
A True funny story, Honest!
Back in the 1980's I was working at the new Channar Iron Ore Mine at Paraburdoo in the North West of WA, with my new father in-law Cliff, who was the civil construction manager. I was doing the installation of Structural, Mechanical and Piping systems. Cliff had two trades assistants working under him, who he affectionately called, Block and Tackle. Block and his girlfriend Maxine were living in the caravan park on site. In the evenings we would all catch up in the wet mess, for a couple of cooling beers.
One Monday Evening Block and Maxine announced, that they had gotten engaged over the weekend. Maxine said to my father in-law "Cliffy you have been married for quite a few years now, what is the best thing for a marriage that you have found?" Without missing a beat, Cliff my father inlaw said "Maxine the best thing for a marriage, is two single beds. One in Perth and the other in Paraburdoo!"
