Transform your pantry storage with this surprising solution!

As we age, we often find ways to simplify our lives and declutter our living spaces.

A tidy and well-organised pantry can make cooking a pleasure and help us keep track of our groceries to avoid waste.

We have stumbled upon a 'game-changing' storage trick that uses an unlikely item to save precious pantry space.

The secret to this ingenious trick? Tension rods.

The adjustable rods, typically used for hanging curtains, can help you switch up your pantry organisation.

This simple yet effective idea was shared by homeowner Aly McDaniel on social media, along with an easy guide to installing the rods.

Instead of installing the tension rods horizontally, you place them vertically in your pantry.

This creates a perfect slot to slide in paper towels, wraps, or baking sheets.

When you need one, pull it out from the bottom, and the rest will neatly drop down, filling the space.

It's a brilliant way to use often-wasted vertical space between shelves or between the top and ceiling shelves.

The versatility of tension rods continues beyond there.

You can adjust the spacing between the rods to accommodate a variety of items, from kitchen towels to snack packets.

If you prefer the traditional horizontal setup, tension rods can create an extra shelf or a hanging space for utensils and other kitchen gadgets.

This storage solution isn't just limited to the pantry. Tension rods can be equally useful in wardrobes and cupboards.

You can use them to hang cleaning products under the sink, as a drawer divider for organising cutlery or as a DIY shoe rack.

However, before you rush out to buy tension rods, remember to measure the space where you plan to use them.

Ensure that the length of the rod falls within the minimum and maximum extension range to guarantee a snug fit.

The best part of this trick? I will not break the bank.

A pack of two tension rods are available on Amazon for $29.77. Smaller tension rods are also available at shops like Daiso for $3.30.

So if what you want is located in the middle of the stacked supplies you have to pull everything out until it drops to the bottom and you can get it or can you pull things out from anywhere in the stack?
