The $12 Kmart Vinyl Floor Tiles are a game-changer for those looking to upgrade their living spaces without breaking the bank or violating their rental agreements.

These tiles don't require grouting or cementing and are perfect for renters or anyone looking to avoid the cost and mess of traditional renovations.

Kmart markets these tiles as ideal for kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, or living rooms, making them a versatile addition to your DIY toolkit.

'Tried the Kmart vinyl floor tiles and love how it turned out!' she wrote, adding that the tiles are 'more of a subtle mint green in real life’.

Megan's post not only showcased the stunning results of her DIY project but also provided a step-by-step guide for others looking to replicate her success.

'I used A3 paper as a stencil before cutting the tiles,' she explained, detailing her process for handling awkward corner pieces and areas around the toilet.

'The tiles don’t line up perfectly, so you have to rotate them around to find the best fit.'

Despite the minor challenges, Megan was thrilled with the final result and is even planning on doing the wall next.

Her post was met with a wave of positive responses from fellow budget home renovation enthusiasts.

'Wow, that looks amazing!' one wrote. 'Well done.'

'I’m so inspired. What a difference it makes, even just doing the floor,' another commented.

While a third said: 'Looks more modern!'

While many were impressed with Megan's transformation, some expressed concerns about the quality of the tiles and their adhesive strength.

'Have you found they have stuck down okay? We started some in our toilet, and they didn’t stick very well,' one asked.

Megan replied, 'Yeah, they have stuck down okay for ours so far. But when I made a mistake and peeled one off, it did come off a lot easier than I expected.'

Replacing genuine tiles with stick on vinyl? Question is: how long before they start curling up at the edges? There was nothing wrong with the original floor in the first place. Maybe adding a pot plant or some artwork on the wall would work much better. And a coat of new paint as Suzanne Rose says. Waste of $12.00.
