Tired of dirty white sneakers? This 'miracle' product will clean them in seconds!

White sneakers are a must-have in every shoe closet because they are comfortable, incredibly stylish and can be worn with many different outfits.

However, no matter how versatile they may be, they are also notoriously difficult to keep clean. After a week or two of wearing them outdoors, it's only expected that your shoes won't be as white as they were when you first got them...

Luckily for us, there are products out there that make cleaning white shoes so much easier!

Here, a nifty mum shows us how she managed to clean her daughter's filthy white sneakers using an affordable multipurpose product.

Sam, who runs an Instagram account where she shares bargain tips and finds, recently revealed that she used the $7.50 Eraser Daddy Sponge to make her daughter's white shoes look brand new again!

'I love white shoes, but they get dirty super fast…' wrote Sam in her Instagram post. Then she said she tried out the Eraser Daddy scrub and was surprised by how easy it was to use and how well it did the job.

In the clip, the sneakers are covered in brown dirt, especially at the front, but the product made it easy to clean. After just a few seconds of effortless scrubbing, the white shoes looked new!

'I've added a paper towel underneath the shoe so any dirty residue can fall onto that. It is super easy to do,' the Aussie mum added.

The Eraser Daddy is designed with a dual-sided construction of 'tri-composite material' and 'backing of FlexTexture' to make it simple to eliminate even the most stubborn stains.

The product was initially meant for use on indoor floors and walls, patio furniture, bathroom sinks, and showers, according to the website's description. But as it happens, you can also use it to give sneakers a fresh new look!

Your shoes will look (and smell) their best if you clean them regularly. Here's a guide to cleaning your shoes properly:

1. Use a dry brush

Use a dry, soft-bristled shoe brush to remove loose dirt from the outsole, midsole, and upper. No brush for your shoes? Don't worry, an old toothbrush will work just fine.

But if you're going to use the Eraser Daddy sponge, you only need to dampen it (as shown in the video above), and then you can proceed to scrub! Just remember to put some kitchen towels under the shoe to make cleaning up much easier.

2. Make a mild cleaning solution

Combine some mild dish soap or laundry detergent with warm water, and stir until the soap is dissolved. Baking soda and water mixed in equal parts also form a potent cleaning paste that works well on white and lighter coloured shoes.

3. Wash the laces

Take off the shoelaces and clean them with a little bit of the mild cleaning solution. Use your hands to massage the laces, then rinse them and pat them dry with a soft cloth.

4. Wash the soles

Use a soft-bristled brush, toothbrush, or washcloth to apply the mild solution. Clean the outsole and midsole carefully, making sure to clean every part. Use a soft cloth to dry.

Note: If you need to wash your insoles, take them out of your shoes and clean them with your cleaning solution (from step 2). Let them dry before putting them back in your shoes.

5. Wash and blot the uppers

To clean the uppers, use the mild solution and a soft-bristled brush, toothbrush, or a soft, damp cloth. Just remember to take your time and not scrub too vigorously.

Once you're happy with how it looks, use a dry microfiber towel or soft cloth to blot and lift as much soapy water and dirt as you can. Repeat if needed. Try not to rub the shoes to dry them, as this can damage the fabric or spread any small bits of dirt that are still on them.

6. Air dry

You should let your sneakers air dry at room temperature, and remember to wait until your shoes are entirely dry before putting them on. Most shoes should dry completely in at least 8 hours.

We hope these tips have been helpful, folks! If you have any more tips for keeping white shoes in good shape, let us know in the comments!
